Detailed description
A ring of dough is dipped in molasses water and generously coated with sesame seeds; for centuries it has been a symbol of Turkish streets and breakfast tables. While baking, the molasses gives the crust its reddish colour and a light caramelised taste. Crispy outside and soft inside, it pairs perfectly with tea, cheese and olives.
